A warm thank you to the incredible team of @graphicstoriescyprus for the flawless organization and to all the inspiring speakers for their valuable insights!
It was truly an honor to me not only because I was part of the 11th ConFest team as a motion designer but also for my poster design, “Silent Companion,” selected and showcased in the international exhibition “TREE & ME,” part of a creative collaboration with the Calanca Biennale of Switzerland. Although the conference has come to an end, the exhibition remains open until August 4th, 2025, at En Plo Gallery, Pafos — so there’s still time to visit!
Title: Silent Companion
The life cycle of a tree begins with a seed that, given the right conditions, germinates and grows into a small seedling. This gradually transforms into a young tree and then into a mature tree, which produces its own seeds. Finally, the tree enters the phase of aging and death, returning to the earth to nourish new life.
Trees are precious companions on our life’s journey, mirroring our own cycle of existence. They begin as tiny seeds, grow into young saplings, and mature into majestic trees that offer life, oxygen, and shade, much like we evolve from infancy to adulthood, contributing and creating. They are the silent witnesses to our history, enduring the trials of time, just as we carry the marks of our experiences. As they complete their cycle, they return to the earth, giving life to something new. Because of this profound parallel, it is vital to respect and care for them, as their well-being is inextricably linked to our own, ensuring a sustainable future for all.
